EVA18 announces conference programme

EVA have announced that the EVA18 conference at Armourers Hall, Moorgate in London on the 11-12 June will be called Success is a Project.
Supported by the APM Planning, Monitoring and Control SIG, the conference which has a long reputation for recognising earned value as the best way to integrate cost and time and the best way to monitor status and inform management for decision making will be aiming to bridge what it calls the knowing-doing gap.
Speakers include APM Board member Sarah Coleman presenting Helping your sponsor step up to the challenge. While David Bright, managing director of BMT HiQ-Sigma and Craig Stansfield, Thales Transportation Solutions, will be focussing on how to improve Integrated Baseline Review outcomes through self-assessment.
Major projects such as Crossrail and the Olympics will be featured with Louise Hardy taking a programme managers perspective on the Olympics and Steve Elliot, programme controls cirector at Crossrail asking; have we lost our way with controls?
Academia is represented by Dr. John Ahmet Erkoyuncu of Cranfield University & ACOSTE who will be offering guidance on which probability distributions should be selected across different levels of maturity while APM regular and Honorary Fellow Steven Carver will be presenting The Davy Case which he promises to be A tale of warning and a tale of doom - the tale of a rig too far.
The varied programme also boasts Roy Shepard promising life-changing strategies and practical tips on how to be a genuinely upbeat person and Didi Hopkins offering advice on resilience and assertiveness. The conference also has speakers from Sellafield and Heathrow Airport Ltd.
