Focus on sustainability in latest video magazine

Following the launch of the PM Channel video magazine on the APM website, the second edition is now available to APM website visitors.
In the second edition of the video magazine, content has been selected that focus on the issue of sustainability in project management. Professor Rodney Turner describes how sustainability comprises the three pillars: environmental, social and economic, and Holly Knight talks about how sustainability was comprehensively embedded in to every step of the Olympic construction programme.
Karl Tuplin, who spoke at the APM Project Management Conference 2013, describes managing the design and build of a scientific research station in one of the most inhospitable environments in the world, Antarctica.
Four papers on sustainability in project management are drawn from the 26th IPMA World Congress and are presented by Joel Carboni, Martina Huemann, Professor Gilbert Silvius and Debby Goedknegt. These address the topics of the sustainability management plan, stakeholder participation in sustainability, review of over 50 case studies, and applying nine sustainability principles respectively.
A stimulating short thesis is delivered on rediscovering the human element in sustainable projects by author David Boyle of the New Economics Foundation, who spoke at the 2012 APM Conference. APM chief executive Andrew Bragg gives a few words about APM with a short description provided by Neil Mooney about the APM Registered Project Professional designation (RPP).
Featuring alongside the videos on sustainability is a presentation by Nick Fewings who illustrates the importance of people during a talk entitled Right People, Right Result: Leading Change Effectively.
