On the 21st January the Yorkshire & North Lincolnshire branch welcomed presentations from Julie Legge and Lindsay Scott on the development of professionalism in project management and the recruitment market. 'Getting ahead in project management'

Julie opened proceedings with a splendid overview of project management standards and qualifications clearly indicating how to get ahead in an environment where there is an ever growing global demand for project managers. Julie's presentation focussed on professionalism and competence.

Using Prezi from her iPad, Lindsay gave an enlightening presentation on project management from a recruitment point of view. Lindsay's presentation provided plenty of tips on how to stand out as a project manager and what recruiters are on the lookout for as PM traits.

For me the highlight of Lindsay's talk was her infographic approach to her own CV. (See the presentation slides below).Visually stunning as it was, I had to agree that perhaps employers aren't ready for this style yet.
