If Only ALL Job Specs Were Like That
Browsing around the web yesterday and what should I come across but a Programme Support vacancy which featured this in the job specification;
We feel this role would suit members of the PMI, PMOSIG or APM who are working in a fast paced, commercial environment.
How about that?
This little voluntary not-for-profit group that has some great members who meet up to talk and learn more about PMO has made it into one corporate blue-chip job specification.
Why is this a big deal, you might say?
Well for one it is a recognition for the group that the members of that group are considered to be the finest PMO people there are in the UK, people that employers want to recruit.
Wed like to think this is only the beginning imagine a new world of PMO jobs and recruitment where not being an active member of the PMOSIG could mean not being considered for the job. I think it serves as a good reminder for anyone in a professional job that you are considered a better job prospect the more you actively take part in your career development through training, learning and participation in your profession through conferences, seminars, associations and of course specialist interest groups.
Remember to add PMOSIG member to your CV and be ready to talk about your participation in your profession.
