Cabinet Secretary for Infrastructure, Investment and Cities Keith Brown MSP believes that commitment, professionalism and leadership are vital in creating a world in which all projects succeed.

Keith Brown touched on APM’s vision as he did an opening address at the APM Scottish Conference in Edinburgh, which is now available to watch in the latest edition of videos from PM Channel.

Keith Brown MSPKeith (pictured) then went on to discuss how projects are used to turn the programme for government into a reality for the people of Scotland. This can include large infrastructure projects, but also ICT projects and major transformation programmes.

The conference also featured APM chief executive Sara Drake who reflected on the health of the Scottish economy based on the findings from APM’s Scottish Salary Survey 2015.

The survey showed nearly 60% of respondents expected their employer to grow over the next twelve months. Two-thirds of those are expecting to recruit more professionals in the next year.

Sara then went on provide an update on APM’s current activities and the key role Scotland plays in the future success of the association.

You also have the opportunity to see the full presentation by the event’s headline speaker Guy Richardson from Eiger Sport and Business Performance Ltd.

Guy has worked in one of the elite armies of the world as well as one of the most celebrated international sports teams in the world: the British and Irish Lions rugby team.

Video presentation and accompanying slides are also available from Greg Urquhart who is responsible for ensuring that Skyscanner's scaled agile development team provides a constant flow of new products for their 42 million regular users.

Other video presentations on agile are also available from APM board member Brian Wernham who discusses building an agile capability, Adrian Pyne examines what agile looks like at project level and Ann Halloran covers off the 2015 Agile Roadshow.

Transport for Scotland’s Lawrence Shackman also gives a presentation on project managing the £1.4bn Forth Replacement Crossing.

As part of the on-going partnership between APM and the video based training and development content provider – The PM Channel – free access to otherwise subscription only videos has been made available to APM website visitors.
