On 16 May 2017 in Bristol, Oli Thompson, introduced the work of the BBC Natural History Unit (NHU), which is wholly owned by the BBC, but which now has the financial freedom to compete for work from other customers. As well as the NHU, BBC Studios Bristol is responsible for many other series including, amongst others, Antiques Road Show, DIY SOS, Spring Watch and Country file.
