The People SIG held its Annual General Meeting in London on Thursday 11th June 2015.  The incumbent Chair, Russel Jamieson gave a brief overview of the what the current committe and SIG in general had achieved over the past 12 months.

The formalities of the AGM were quickly dealt with resulting in the election of the new committee, namely:

  • Robert Blakemore
  • Eleri Evans
  • Russel Jamieson
  • Peter (PJ) Johnson
  • Adam Juniper
  • Tim Lyons
  • Ann Pilkington
  • David Richardson

Thanks were formally recorded to Eugene Prinsloo who left the committee after some 18+ months.

The People SIG then warmly welcomed APM's new CEO Sara Drake to their AGM event. Sara introduced herself with an enlightening overview of her career prior to joining APM in March 2015 as she succeeded Andrew Bragg who left, after 10 years, in December 2014. Sara then shared some early thoughts on a good number of matters as she responded to the lively and distinctly varied range of questions from the attentive audience.

Still early into her tenure Sara was not afraid to advise that she might not have all the answers though the attendees left with a warm glow after a very productive evening.

Sara is very happy for people to contact her directly and she promises that there are not level after level of management that review her inbox before she does so feel free to send her an email at sara.drake@apm.org.uk

For anyone interested in getting more involved with the People SIG with or without the formalities of being on the committee then please contact us at peoplesig@apm.org.uk
