APMs Scotland Branch has recently begun this years PM Challenge, by hosting two proposal nights one at Robert Gordon University (RGU) and the other in Glasgow. The events saw two teams from Robert Gordon University, Selex and Herriot Watt, proceed to the finals in Edinburgh, due to be held on 27 March.

The teams worked together to prepare and develop a project of their choice based on the challenge of using innovation and raising money for charity at the same time.

There are two key phases to PM challenge: project conception and project execution. During the first phase, teams develop their concepts and project plans, which are submitted to the APM board for judgement. Four finalists are then selected and allocated a 100 budget to execute their project.

The four finalists will present their project outcomes during the PM Challenge 2013-2014 Finals Night when a winning team will be chosen by a judging panel of industry project managers and practitioners.
