Postgraduate student award

The APM Benefits Management SIG is pleased to announce that entries are now being accepted for the 2014 APM Benefits Management SIG postgraduate student award.
The award provides an opportunity for students to contribute to the project and programme management profession through academic excellence in the area of benefits management. The paper must be centred on research in the area of benefits realisation through project, programme or portfolio management. In this context, a benefit is defined as the positive and measureable impact of change on the performance of an organisation contributing to one of more strategic objectives. The length of the paper might be in the region of 2,000-3,000 words, and certainly no longer than 5,000 words. The student award selection criteria are:;
Academic ability (30%);
Application to strategic business context (20%);
Demonstrable evidence of project, programme and portfolio management good practice through research (20%); and
Innovation in developing benefits management (30%)
The following eligibility requirements apply;
The author(s) must be Masters or PhD students OR recently finished (no longer than 2 years, when applying). The paper must be supported by a recommendation from the students university;
The paper must be entirely written by the author (s); and
The paper should not have been previously published, eg in an academic journal.
The deadline for submission of papers is Friday 19th September 2014.
