Scottish Rugby’s most capped center three quarter, Scott Hastings, is to close the evening proceedings at the post-event dinner for the APM 6th Annual Scottish Conference in Edinburgh, sponsored by 20|20 Business Insight.

Ever present in the Scotland International team with 65 caps, Scott played in 51 international rugby games alongside his brother Gavin; he played in 10 of Scotland's 14 world cup games in the 87, 91 and 95 world cups and was twice a member of the British Lions tours in Australia (1989) and New Zealand (1993).

In addition to his rugby career Scott has also been a match commentator for various sport TV programmes including Scottish television’s Rugby Roundup programme as well as the ITV’s coverage of the World Cups in 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2011. He is to join the ITV team again for their coverage of the forthcoming Rugby World Cup in 2015.

Alongside his TV and media work Scott has worked extensively in the corporate world, running, with his brother Gavin, their own Sports and Events company

In our aim to bring together expert speakers and business leaders to examine the importance of leadership, Scott will be joined by Transport for Scotland Project Manager Lawrence Shackman, who will be speaking in one of the multiple sessions taking place at the conference.

In his presentation on 10th September, Lawrence will talk about the Forth Replacement Crossing which is Scotland’s biggest transport infrastructure project in a generation. The £1.4 billion cable-stay bridge is on track to be completed in 2016.

Following on from an inspirational day of presentations and workshops the dinner will be held directly after the conference. This will be the perfect opportunity to continue networking with the most senior figures in the profession that will help to raise your profile and develop your career.
