Four-time Paralympic gold medallist Marc Woods has been confirmed as a keynote speaker at the award-winning APM Project Management Conference 2016 sponsored by 20|20 Business Insight.

Taking place on Thursday 21st April 2016, the APM Conference will explore how the project management profession can transform into one recognised as World Class.

In keeping with the event theme, Marc Woods will take us on his inspirational life journey and explore how to create a world-class mindset that can transform you, your organisation and our profession.

A keen swimmer, Marc was distraught to find out a cancer diagnosis at the early age of 17 would lead to him having his leg amputated below the knee as a result.

Despite this setback and with his sheer determination of making the best of his situation, he stepped up his training. Eighteen months later, he represented Great Britain - and went on to win twelve Paralympic medals, four of them gold.

APM Project Management Conference 2016In his 17 years of competition he also won a further 21 medals from European and World Championships.

With thrilling footage, a terrific sense of humour and complete lack of sentimentality, he demonstrates his passion for life and shows what can happen when we learn to focus on those things which are under our control.

Showcasing other journeys to achieve world class within the profession; the APM Conference gives you the opportunity to learn from influential speakers sharing thought leadership. This will help you to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques for successful project delivery.
