Synopsis: The forgotten dimension of inclusion: LGBTQ+ in the project workplace

Whilst many companies pay significant attention to inclusivity from gender perspective, much lesser efforts are directed towards fostering LGBTQ+ friendly workplace. Due to fears of discrimination, exclusion, and barriers to career progression, many members of the LGBTQ+ communities keep silent about their sexuality. In this presentation, I argue that companies can create more inclusive, hospitable and welcoming project workplace for LGBTQ+ staff through creating a safe space for all. I also shed light on the need for thinking about projects that are focused on the LGBTQ+ communities, and hence, I share with you a case study I have been co-leading on Queering Public Space.
