Andy Wall

Andy has worked in the Water Industry for over 30 years and although he qualified as an analytical Chemist he has spent the majority of his career in wastewater Operations, Asset Management and Engineering. 

Today Andy leads a team that manage the company’s suite of Standards, Specifications and Signature designs across all functions. These help to ensure quality and reliability of the assets the company owns and operates whilst at the same time minimising the capital and operating costs. Knowledge management is a key part of the role ensuring that accumulated knowledge is shared across the business and with its strategic partners as well as managing the interface between innovation and the implementation into standards.

Outside of his work for UU Andy is a Chartered Member of CIWEM and Chair of the North West and North Wales Branch. Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and is a Water UK Standards Representative working through BSI on International and European Standards.

Andy is married, with two children aged 27 and 22 years and enjoys, watching movies, listening to music, holidays, current affairs, cooking, reading, badminton and DIY; in decreasing order of ability!
