Presentation title: Programme management within Network Rail
Synopsis: Network Rail have the biggest investment plans of any UK organisation with an average investment of around £5bn per year. To enable this level of expenditure, Network Rail has been moving towards the adoption of programme management over the last 5 years, building on the capability that has been evolving in major programmes such as Thameslink.
The adoption of a programmatic approach has provided challenges to the organisation, structures and traditional thinking to move up from project level thinking. The presentation will tell the story of this journey so far and how the challenges ahead will be managed.
