Synopsis: Medical science has advanced significantly since the first clinical trial was conducted by James Lind in 1747, which led to the paramount focus placed on safety, ethics and integrity of data we leverage today in clinical trials.
We’re on the cusp of another revolution, and we need to maintain this focus as we respond to the new opportunities.
“Big data,” advanced analytics, scientific and technological advances are helping to revolutionise the way medicines are brought to market.
Two areas where we are particularly focused are Alzhiemer’s disease and infectious disease.
