Sheilina SomaniSheilina Somani

Sheilina is a Chartered Project Professional (ChPP); Fellow(FAPM) and Registered Project Professional (RPP) with the Association for Project Management. She is also a Fellow of the Higher Educational Institute and Master NLP Practitioner.

Sheilina is an articulate Project Professional having successfully delivered programmes, projects and products across diverse industry sectors. With a proven passion for our profession, she founded Positively Project Management over 30 years ago as a vehicle for her independent voice in the project/programme management space.

Her love for project excellence has led her to varied roles, including Chief Examiner for APM Knowledge Examinations, Chartership Assessor, Awards Judge and STEM Ambassador. Her commitment to ethics, professionalism and integrity led to a role on the APM Code of Professional Conduct Panel and is the foundation for work she does both paid and voluntarily.

Sheilina is a frequently requested speaker, facilitator and trainer; bringing a unique blend of engagement, enthusiasm, communication, professional and personal experiences. Her specialist subjects include: global projects, diversity, conflict resolution, integration, organisational change and co-cultural communications.

Sheilina is known for her curiosity, a willingness to learn and the drive to enable appropriate decision making. She is detailed and quality oriented; always keen to adapt and deploy positive and inclusive approaches.

Sheilina has a strong drive for continued learning and development. She has lectured at both undergraduate and masters level. She has developed apprenticeship, academic and corporate training programmes; delivering both in person and virtually. In 2021 she published her book ‘Cadence of Confidence’ to support personal development; augmented with music references to boost learning and engagement.

Her passion for culture and international experience consists of working in over 750 cities around the world. She relishes the challenges of delivery, education, documentation and the development of people. Having a commitment to volunteering has led to policy contributions for various professional organisations including APM, NHS and many more.

In her spare time, Sheilina can be found kayaking, swimming, exploring through photography, attending theatre productions or curled up with a good book.
