APM Branch Awards 2022

APM Branch Awards 2022 celebrates the achievements of project professionals and students within their local APM Branch community for the following two awards:

APM Branch Student of the Year 2022 for those who have recently been part of a project or programme in or out of school, college or university or while on placement.

APM Branch Emerging Professional 2022 for those who have completed a project or programme within their company.

You are invited to submit your entry for either of these awards by 13 May 2022. For full details and an application form for each award please see below.

APM Branch Awards Student of the Year 2022

This competition allows students to showcase their project skills and achievements.

A submission could include a group or individual project, a social, sporting or charity event, or an entrepreneurial project.

Submissions should include the context for the project, the reasons for focusing on this area, the project management steps taken, the results, benefits and lessons learned

APM Branch level winners will be entered into a national final and the winner will be announced at the APM Festival of Education and Research in February 2023

Who should enter?

APM Branch Awards for Student of the Year 2022 is open to all full-time or part-time students aged 16 or over who have been part of a project.

APM Branch Awards Emerging Professional 2022

APM Branch Awards 2022 for Emerging Professional competition is open to project professionals (aged 30 or below) who have recently completed a project or programme that showcases their project management skills and obtained a successful output (with regard to working as a team, innovative steps and end results).

This competition will provide entrants with a great platform to share their successes with the Project Management community, whilst engaging with other fellow future project professionals. 

Winners of this Awards will represent their APM Branch in a National Level Final.

APM Branch Awards for Emerging Professional 2022 is open to all full-time project professionals aged 30 or below, working in any sector.

How to get involved

The APM judges are looking for the story behind the person who has delivered the greatest benefit to their clients, project teams and wider stakeholders.

The criteria for these categories put a greater emphasis on the positive contribution the project professional made to the outputs and outcomes of their project(s) and programme(s) whilst recognising the essential role that the project management techniques have in delivering success.

How will you be scored

Entrants will be scored across several several criteria, including the following;

  • Applicability or benefit to business and industry
  • Lessons learned for future projects
  • Innovations or overcoming challenges during project delivery
  • Presentation to the project management community
  • Statement of Support from course leader/lecturer (endorsing candidate and submission)

Winners from the APM Branch level will receive;

All finalists will receive a certificate for being part of this competition.
