How is policy governed?
The Policy Advisory Group (PAG) is made up of APM’s key stakeholder groups, including individual members, corporate members and academics. The PAG supports APM’s Policy and Public Affairs team in its vision, mission and strategy by providing advice on the direction and focus of the team’s Policy stances.
What is APM’s Policy Advisory Group?
The PAG will scrutinise and offer advice on the outputs of the policy and public affairs team, validating our approach with a project management lens, to ensure it aligns with project management theory and practice. The group has the following responsibilities.
- To identify the key policy issues that APM’s P&PA team should address, in line with the P&PA team’s strategic objectives.
- To advise on and scrutinise the evidence used in APM’s policy-related subject matter and outputs, facilitating the P&PA team to deliver strong evidence-based recommendations.
- To direct the policy team to useful resources and diverse perspectives aligned with the above duty, taking balanced and objective approaches to policy outputs.
- Although work may be complementary, the PAG does not supersede the remit of any established groups such as the Research Advisory Group and the Data Advisory Group - nor will it influence the content of APM’s knowledge publications.
Who are the members of APM’s Policy Advisory Group?
We are currently recruiting for members.
Can I join the PAG?
We are currently seeking PAG members. This is a new group so there are currently no members. If you are interested, please email us with your CV and a one-page motivation letter covering the following points:
- Your experience in project management, public affairs and/or public policy
- The contribution you feel you could make to the PAG
- Your reasons for wanting to join the PAG
Applications have no fixed deadline, the call will remain open until we find the right candidates to join our team.
Meetings and attendance
The PAG will meet on an ad hoc basis depending on policy asks. It is likely that a lot of the work will be carried out online, via email and Teams meetings.
