Amy Morley

Amy is currently the project management office (PMO) director at HS2, with responsibility for setting enterprise-wide standards for project controls and project management.

Amy joined HS2 in 2014 as the head of project controls delivering the Phase One Hybrid Bill and subsequently spent three years as chief of staff supporting the CEO and wider executive to deliver key programme and organisational priorities.

Amy’s background and experience is diverse. Starting her career as a personal assistant, Amy has worked in progressively more senior roles, gaining experience and qualifications in project controls and project management by working on large and complex projects across HS2 Ltd, the Cabinet Office and the BBC.

It was while working at the BBC that she discovered her passion for project management, quickly realising that it gave her the ability to deploy both her organisation skills and drive for delivery, providing the challenge and career she was looking for. 

During her career, Amy has gained a BSc (Hons) in Business Management and is a Chartered Project Professional.
