Author bio

Dr Teri Okoro ChPP MBA FAPM FRIBA is a Chartered Project Professional and Chartered Architect with over three decades of experience delivering projects through an inclusive lens. She has worked primarily in the construction sector while also leading and overseeing transformation initiatives in housing, healthcare, IT and professional associations.

Teri is widely recognised for her leadership in equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). She authored APM’s thought-leadership paper Joining the Dance? Creating an Inclusive Profession and contributes regularly to professional publications and magazines. Her expertise is reflected in appointments such as a Mayor of London Design Advocate, Design Council Expert on Inclusion, NRAC-registered Inclusive Designer, and IPMA Project Excellence Assessor.

She has also held several voluntary leadership roles with the Association for Project Management (APM), including Chair of Women in Project Management (WiPM) and Chair of the APM People Interest Network (PIN), and sits on the UK’s Construction Industry Council Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

Through her consultancy TOCA, Teri delivers training, presents and consults internationally on inclusive project delivery and leadership, helping organisations embed inclusive practices in both strategy and delivery.
