About this book
Description
This guide is designed for project professionals who are starting to explore AI, as well as leaders supporting teams as they adopt new technologies. It explains how AI tools can support project delivery, where they add the most value across the project life cycle and why human judgement remains essential. It covers:
- What AI is and isn’t good at, and where it can help project professionals work more effectively
- How AI can support activities across the project life cycle, from planning through to delivery
- Practical steps for getting started with AI safely and responsibly within your organisation
- Guidance for leaders on encouraging adoption, building confidence and supporting teams through change
Drawing on examples from widely used large language model (LLM) tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot and Gemini, this guide provides a practical introduction to using AI in project management. It encourages project professionals to develop hands-on experience, understand the limitations of current tools and make informed decisions about where AI can enhance project outcomes.
