Session: Collaborative Leadership and the art of Relationship Driven Delivery

We talk a lot about being collaborative and about collaborative leadership—but what does that really mean in delivery work? When we hear “us and them,” is it about being “nice,” or simply ticking a box with a collaboration workshop? Is it about saying we’re collaborative but not translating that into behaviour? How do we move beyond a client-versus-supplier mindset?

Relationship-Driven Delivery is a practical framework for navigating complex projects. It supports optimal people engagement, positive leadership, genuine collaboration, and meaningful relationships that are set up to deliver together throughout a project’s life. We’ll explore six key questions to examine and challenge your delivery relationships, outline what needs to be in place for collaborative leadership to shine, and demonstrate how to make a real difference. Simon will challenge your thinking about collaboration and share insights into what helps—and what hinders—creating aligned delivery teams that trust one another, maintain healthy commercial tension, and work toward a Win/Win.

This session introduces the idea of putting relationships first, and shows how speeding up the team dynamic can create a more open, honest and delivery-focused partnerships.
