Session synopsis | Building Brabazon – Living up to the legacy of Concorde
Formed in 1955, YTL is a Malaysian company which operates globally across a range of sectors from construction and infrastructure to telecoms and luxury hotels & resorts.
YTL acquired Filton Airfield several years ago with an ambitious plan to regenerate the 400 acres of disused land into a thriving new neighbourhood, bringing together all the energy and edge of Bristol to create the most exciting new city district in the South-West.
As the birthplace of Concorde, Brabazon will be a hub for innovation and industry, culture and creativity, with a supersonic arena at its heart.
Development of the site is progressing rapidly, with works ongoing including infrastructure, housing and major projects. In parallel we are developing several other major schemes that will start on site in 2026.
Brabazon is a project for people, and I will talk about how we focus on this throughout the cradle-to-grave approach of designing, delivering, marketing, and operating a development like Brabazon.
