Association for Project Management (APM) is proud to announce that APM Learning, the online development resource available exclusively for our members, has received a bronze award in the category of ‘best association professional development programme’ at the Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards.

Brandon Hall Group™ is a professional development company that provides data, research, insights and certification for learning and talent executives and organisations.  Their Excellence Awards recognise organisations that have successfully developed and deployed programmes, strategies, modalities, processes, systems and tools that have achieved measurable results. The ‘best association professional development programme’ category recognises professional or executive development programmes delivered by industry associations for their members or the wider public. Eligible programmes may be delivered live, online or hybrid.

APM was awarded the bronze award in this category for the redesign of APM Learning, delivered with support from Absorb Software. The new platform replaced a declining legacy learning platform with a modern, scalable digital learning environment that improved access to CPD resources, supported global member engagement and aligned learning content to APM’s Body of Knowledge and Competence Framework.

Since the new platform has been introduced there has been an increase in the amount of logins, growth in course completions, reduced reliance on external e-learning development suppliers, fewer learning-related support queries and stronger qualitative feedback from members. Learners have also reported that content was more practical, relevant to workplace challenges and easier to fit into busy schedules. The programme also gives APM better data visibility to explore the relationship between learning engagement and long-term member retention.

Sarah Layzell, Digital Learning Manager at APM, said: “I was beyond thrilled to find out that APM Learning has been recognised by the Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards. The platform has been a labour of love for our learners and the feedback we have received from members has been incredible, receiving this award makes it even more special.

“Our work is just beginning on APM Learning. In the future we will introduce more personalised learning experiences, enabling members to engage with content that aligns more closely to their interests, roles and development needs. I would encourage everyone who is an APM member to explore APM Learning and discover the benefits for themselves.”
