Association for Project Management (APM) colleagues baked and bought a fantastic selection of cakes to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Employees and visitors at APM’s head office on 27 September enjoyed a mouthwatering array of goodies as staff pulled out all the stops to support Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Colleagues were encouraged to dress in Macmillan’s colours of green and purple to add to the fun and boost funds. Competitions were also held, ranging from ‘the Great APM Bake-Off’, which recognised the day’s star bakers, to a ‘dunk the biscuit’ contest.

The range of homemade and shop-bought snacks were sold in return for a donation to the charity fund. Overall, the day raised £191.15, and created a great Friday feeling too.

Emma Shelton, executive assistant, won the Great APM Bake-Off contest for her patented Gooey Chocolate Brownies with Marshmallow and Raspberries. She said: “It’s very important to APM to support good causes close to the hearts of our staff, and this kind of event creates a great atmosphere for colleagues to have some fun together as well as raising money for charity.”
