The Project Management Unconference is designed to support the project profession by working together to inspire project management.

Each unconference brings some structure with an event theme, but there is always time and a space for anyone who wants to initiate a discussion, on any topic. The PM Unconference aims to provide a safe space for learning and discussion.

The theme for the APM Project Management UnConference 3 was “Project Management friends and volunteers, supporting and sharing, knowledge and experience.”

This event firstly brought together a group of dedicated volunteers to design a professional UnConference to benefit the project profession.

Before obtaining session topics from around the virtual room the guests were given some key information on how to facilitate an event, session or meeting from Penny Pullan. We were grateful for key information shared by Penny (thank you!).

The event had a great turnout and a variety of topics on offer, including...

  • Early Careers
  • How do we get the best from LinkedIn?
  • Female Empowerment in PM
  • Reducing our impact on the Environment
  • Plus many more

The Unconference ended with a group discussion around the topics being discussed and the future of the project profession.

Thank you to all the speakers that held a session and shared your knowledge and held engaging conversations.

If you attended the event we welcome your feedback.

For more events organised by APM Branches and APM SIG please view the main events listing.

Thank you for the achievements of the APM Project Management UnConference Organising Team from across the APM Volunteer areas.

Keep well
Robert Allen, APM Branches Manager
