Robbie Warwick has 14 years’ experience of running large, successful projects for the UK Government. Recently, he delivered a Voice and Video communications transformation programme for 60,000 users at the Home Office, deploying a Teams meeting and phone calling platform, and upgrading 700 meeting room. Additionally, he built one of the top 1% largest Genesys Cloud contact centres globally. For this, he and his team placed in the top 3 of the Civil Service Smarter Working Awards, recognised for safely driving innovative change while transforming the department's contact centre services.

Robbie is an APM Chartered Project Manager who values right-sized governance when running projects and programmes, whether delivering a £30k proof of concept or a £60m transformational change programme. He believes that lifecycle selection is one of the most important decisions in a project.

Describing himself as a “lifelong nerd”, Robbie found his passion for technology during his childhood, spending hours learning BASIC with his Commodore 64. With hindsight, his ADHD diagnosis explains those hours of hyperfocus, his preference for difficult "programme recovery" roles, and his inclination towards "taking opportunity [with measured risk]" rather than "avoiding risk [and by extension, opportunity]".

Chaos to clarity: Delivery models, governance, and getting things done

🞇 Robbie Warwick - Technology Consulting Senior Manager, Accenture
In this session, Robbie will be sharing stories and insights from across his career, delivering everything from £25k proofs of concept to £60m national infrastructure programmes – including the time he rolled out a 12-month major tech deployment to 60,000 users… in just one week.

Robbie talks candidly about how his ADHD shapes the way he leads – how it fuels creativity, fast-thinking, and a healthy appetite for risk – and how he builds balanced teams around him to ensure that bold decisions are never reckless.

We’ll explore the pivotal role of delivery lifecycle selection, and why “Agiling everything” can be a governance disaster waiting to happen. Plus, we'll unpack what happens when innovation is smothered by “we’ve always done it this way” and share ways to spot – and challenge – those red flags.

Risk, governance, innovation, and delivery models might not sound like the recipe for a poem… but if he's feeling brave, there might just be one about user feedback loops.

Expect a fast-paced, no-nonsense look at how embracing difference and challenging the status quo can help us all lead projects that genuinely build a better future.
