As part of the on-going partnership between APM and the video based training and development content provider The PM Channel free access to otherwise subscription only videos has been made available to APM website visitors.
This exciting new feature is in addition to APMs own YouTube channel and offers an alternative way for people to stream relevant and valuable video content online.
The PM Channel is the most comprehensive on-demand project management training and development resource with over 500 videos and 100 hours of curated high quality content with synced slides.
APM is a significant partner to The PM Channel and gives filming access to selected branch, SIG and conference events in exchange for making these resources available to the APM membership and wider audience.
Every month new videos will be published on APMs website by The PM Channel which will include topical APM content and selected footage from other major partners and individual contributors.
Dr. Andrew Delo, founder of The PM Channel said: We are very pleased to have developed our working relationship with APM to this extent.
It is a fantastic opportunity for the wider project management community visiting the APM website to get access to more video based content about the profession.
In the first edition of the video magazine, videos have been selected that all stress the importance of the leadership and people aspects of project management. Susanne Madsen presents the differences between management and leadership and describes her VIP model of project management leadership.
Professor Rodney Turner gives a brief insight to the importance of emotional intelligence in project management, while Sarah Craig of O2 gives a presentation on leadership behaviours within the context of a social media related project.
Two short interviews on leadership and stakeholder engagement by Steve McGrady and Nigel Fryer are also included alongside a description of his time, cost and performance triangle by APM vice president Dr. Martin Barnes CBE.
A stimulating short thesis is delivered on rediscovering the human element in projects by author David Boyle of the New Economics Foundation. APM chief executive Andrew Bragg gives a few words about APM with a short description provided by Neil Mooney about the APM Registered Project Professional designation (RPP).
