APM celebrates National Careers Week
To celebrate National Careers Week, APM has launched its ‘Be a Better You’ campaign in order to raise awareness of the opportunities open to those seeking to build a career in the project profession. Join the conversation on Twitter - #NCW2017.
Aimed at project professionals of different seniority and experience, as well as those looking to join the profession, the campaign highlights APM events, qualifications and tools for those looking to take the next step on the career ladder.
With ever greater demand for skilled professionals – working on projects that span every sector – there has never been a better time to learn new skills and take advantage of the exciting career opportunities on offer.
APM’s recent Chartered status has only bolstered this demand, shining a spotlight on the profession and highlighting the benefits of world-class project delivery in today’s society.
For practising project professionals APM’s Role Profiler tool is a useful gauge for what competences, qualifications and experience are needed to apply for the next role.
While those seeking to gain APM’s highest mark of recognition, Registered Project Professional, may be closer than they think, thanks to a new route towards the standard introduced for those who hold APM’s PPQ or PQ qualifications.
For those looking to join the profession, there are a variety of options available – including the recently launched Trailblazer apprenticeship, to sit alongside existing Higher apprenticeships, and APM’s Project Fundamentals Qualification (formerly known as APM’s Introductory Certificate). APM’s multi award-winning Project Management Conference, which this year highlights new ways of working and new skills the profession will need to embrace and manage, is a 'must' for anyone wishing to expand their knowledge base.
