The APM Benefits Management SIG have released their latest thought leadership report entitled Delivering benefits from investments in change - building organisational capability.

Whilst many organisations have established an approach to managing benefits, the failure rate of projects and programmes is still alarmingly high. The current pressures on executives (including the economic climate, increased regulation, public sector cuts, businesses struggling for survival) means that the need for effective benefits delivery has never been greater.

This report is the second in a series of four reports challenging organisations to move from a culture of delivery to one of also creating sustainable value from investment in change. It builds on the first report in the series winning hearts and minds, published in March 2011.

This new report focuses on what needs to be done to change the culture and considers where to start in the journey to develop organisational capability. Targeted at those involved in sponsoring change and leading delivery, the report challenges managers to carefully consider their approach prior to starting the journey to build capability.
