The APM Knowledge SIG committee election for Chair and Secretary was held on Friday 3 August as part of the committee’s weekly catchup meeting online.

Nominations were invited on 31 July. Three nominations were received:
Judy Payne and Martin Fisher (a joint nomination to act as co-chairs)
Andy Wall (to act as secretary)

The voting intentions of all committee members were requested before the election and received from all except Bakr Zade, who is working out of the UK.

The meeting on Friday 3 August was attended by Judy Payne, Steve Simister and Andy Wall. No further nominations were made and the committee elected Judy Payne and Martin Fisher as co-chairs, and Andy Wall as Secretary.

As the current Secretary, Claire Nicholas-Walker, has been unable to contribute to SIG activities for several weeks and has not put herself forward for continuing membership of the committee, it was agreed that Andy would become Secretary with immediate effect.

Those on the current committee who do not stand for re-election, or are not voted on by the APM membership, will continue in role and on the committee until Friday 31 August 2018 at 23:59hours for the handover and shadowing window.

Not restanding current committee members:

  • Claire Nicholas-Walker

The new committee of voted on members for 2018/19, including those elected to the role of Chair and Secretary will formally begin their roles from Saturday 1 September 2018.
