Looking forward to a great year ahead

A very happy New Year to one and all. We are looking forward to a great year ahead for all involved with the People SIG as well as our APM colleagues. We enter 2014 with a vibrant new committee and are currently in the mix of planning our activities for the year ahead, both as a standalone SIG and also in partnership with other APM branches and SIGs.
It was great to have so many people join us for our Humanability webinar in December and we are looking forward to bringing you more interesting topics during the year. If you didnt catch the webinar, the recording is still available here.
Future activities include a coaching pilot event, a discussion/blog on the difference between coaching and mentoring and reviews of the latest books that look at people and communication issues in project management. We are also working with colleagues across APM to provide speakers at Branch and Specific Interest events throughout the year. We also have an invitation to present to Project Challenge at Olympia during March.
All our activity will be focused on helping the APM to drive towards delivery of its vision of a world in which all projects succeed. Key to this is excellence in project and organisational culture, communication, structure, leadership and teamwork and our events and other activities will be designed with this in mind.
We are keen to ensure that the group is supporting you in the way you want, so please get in touch if you have any suggestions or maybe you have knowledge and expertise that you would like to share with others.
The committee and I look forward to supporting and working with you in 2014.
