PM World Journal recruits two experts in Brazil

PM World Journal has announced two new additions to the team of advisors, authors, correspondents and stakeholders in various countries from around the world.
Marly Monteiro de Carvalho, PhD, has joined the Editorial Advisory Board for the PM World Journal (PMWJ) along with fellow Brazilian Dr. Andr Barcaui, PhD who has been appointed as International Correspondent.
Marly (pictured right) has been an associate professor and coordinator of the project management lab at the University of So Paulo in Brazil, since 1992. She is the coordinator of the quality and product engineering research group of CNPq (Brazilian Federal Research Agency). She holds a production engineering degree from the University of So Paulo M.Sc, a PhD in the same area from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, and post-doctoral program at Polytechnic University of Milan, Italy.
Marly participates on the Advisory Committee of the research chair in aeronautical project management at the University of Quebec, Canada and on the editorial advisory board of the Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management (UK) and Journal of Modern Project Management. She has published 12 books and a number of articles within the same areas.
David Pells, PMWJ managing editor, said: We are happy to add another academic leader from the University of Sao Paulo to our editorial advisory team. We are also happy to have another Brazilian professor and researcher bring her perspective to our publication. Prof de Carvalho also appears to be involved in some interesting research and industrial areas; we look forward to learning more and hopefully sharing some results with our readers.
I look forward to contributing to the PM World Journal, and to sharing its contents within my academic and professional network, Dr. de Carvalho said. I am particularly interested in introducing the journal to our students, and to seeing how it might be a resource for publishing research. I am happy to join this illustrious team.
Andr Barcaui, PhD (pictured left) is a senior consultant with more than 18 years as manager, and more than 10 as a professor and speaker. He had his Doctoral with Universidad Nacional de Rosario (Argentina), and his Masters with Universidade Federal Fluminense (Brazil). He holds both a psychology as well as an information technology degree. He is the current coordinator of the project management MBA for FGV/RJ - Fundao Getlio Vargas (Brazil) and earned his PMP certification in 1999, when working as a co-founder of PMI Chapter Rio de Janeiro.
He was the project office manager of Hewlett-Packard Consulting for the Latin America Region and before that worked for IBM as a project and services manager. He also holds Master Coach Certificate by the Behavioral Coaching Institute (BCI) and works as the executive director of B&B Brothers, a specialised organisation on project management training, consulting and executive coaching. He has three published books: Gerente tambm Gente (Managers are People too!), Gerenciamento de Tempo em Projetos (Project Time Management), PMO Escritrios de Projetos, Programas e Portflio na Prtica (PMO The Practice of Project, Program and Portfolio Offices).
Speaking about Andr David Pells said: We are honoured to have Dr. Barcaui join our correspondent team in Brazil. His academic and industry experience are significant, along with his publishing and teaching accomplishments. I am happy to welcome him to our team.
Dr. Barcaui stated: I have been referred to the PM World Journal by some of the leading project management experts in Brazil, have studied its history and contents, and I am excited about participating. It will be my honour to help represent Rio and Brazil on this team going forward.
