The East of England Norwich Group were entertained on the night of the 24th November by Shaun Peel from the BBC.

Shaun talked about his work producing programmes on a shoe-string and teased us about the challenges of big budgets. He explained how to call in favours, get people to rally to the cause for next to nothing and work collaboratively for the common good, ‎Agile at its best! He explained his take on risk management and health and safety, from having to lay new carpet at the Hippodrome in Great Yarmouth so the Children in Need choir had somewhere clean to sit during the telethon to enduring the safety of the Spring Watch team. Our conclusion, big or small, long term or short term, all projects encounter the same issue and concerns, although thankfully few in the audience had to co-ordinate a 200 strong choir of 9 to 13 year olds and get them to sing in harmony with several others around the UK once a year-now that IS a feat of collaboration and management!
