Refreshed qualification route for PRINCE2 Practitioners
Registered PRINCE2 Practitioners are already enjoying the refreshed, shorter training course and examination to achieve APMP: The APM Project Management Qualification.
The refresh of APM qualifications to align them with the APM Body of Knowledge 6th edition, has included the specially designed route to APMP: The APM Project Management Qualification, which builds on candidates’ knowledge gained from the PRINCE2 qualification.
Chris Jones from Quanta, one of the APM accredited providers to offer the refreshed course said, “It’s a great opportunity for registered PRINCE2 Practitioners to build on their learning.
The shortened course and exam mean they can save time and money whilst broadening their knowledge and understanding.”
The refreshed course prepares candidates to deliver project success by further developing their knowledge and understanding in critical areas such as budgeting and cost management, teamwork and conflict management.
The shorter training course and examination allows candidates to save time and money whilst getting ahead of the pack.
In total, 73 assessment criteria from the APM Body of Knowledge 6th edition are addressed by the qualification, with 47 of those incorporated into the tailored course for registered PRINCE2 Practitioners. The candidate’s breadth of knowledge is assessed, from the strategic and commercial implications of their role, to the technical, commercial, organisational and people management skills required.
“Candidates have found the revised layout to the examination very helpful,” said Jane Britton of University College London, who have already had registered PRINCE2® Practitioners on their refreshed course. She added, “They like that the questions are clear, with no surprises and in some cases specify the aspects of a particular topic that their answer should cover”.
The refreshed course for registered PRINCE2 Practitioners is also available from AFA, Management Skills Centre, Parallel, Provek, QA and SPOCE.
There are two ways you can sit the examination for APMP: The APM Project Management Qualification;
- by registering for a training course and exam with an APM Accredited Provider.
- by self-study and sitting the exam on one of APM’s open events.
