Former Chairman, Evan Clark, stepped down from the committee after a long period of dedicated service. The Secretary, on behalf of the members of the new committee, thanked him for his hard work and dedication and the members in the audience also showed their appreciation.
Members of APM Scotland Branch enjoyed a very entertaining presentation by Nick Fewings of The Colour Works following their AGM on 19th June. "Right people right result - leading change effectively" used Nicks experience of a multi-cultural project team in Saudi Arabia to explore issues surrounding personality types and why an imbalance of these in a project team causes difficulties. The audience were invited to think about themselves and, armed with fresh insight into their personality colour, ponder the implications for their own practice. The core message was that people each bring positive and negative traits to a team but increased awareness of this in tandem with strategies to balance them out can rescue even very difficult situations.
