Sustainability director for Laing O'Rourke joins APM Conference speaker line-up
APM is proud to announce that sustainability director for Laing O’Rourke, Caroline Blackman, has joined the speaker line-up for this year’s APM Project Management Conference sponsored by 20|20 Business Insight.
Caroline will join a number of influential speakers at the all-day event, taking place at Kings Place in London on 19th March.
She has a track record of bringing organisations and teams together through strategic alignment and driving high performance. She possesses a broad business background with specialisms in organisation and business development, sustainability and strategy.
Chosen as delivery partners by EDF, Laing O’Rourke and French firm Bouygues TP are working on the development of the construction programme of nuclear power plant Hinkley Point C in Somerset, worth around £2 billion.
Caroline had over five years’ experience with CLM – the delivery partner for the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) made up of CH2M Hill, Laing O’Rourke and MACE. She ensured that the right people, processes, teams and overall capability were in place to deliver what was required for the Olympics in 2012.
This involved managing the joint venture and bringing together multi-cultural teams to successfully deliver the ODA objectives. Caroline was instrumental in supporting the programme director in designing the organisation, managing change, aligning strategy and driving and achieving high performance.
