Association for Project Management (APM), the chartered body for the project profession, has announced the finalists for its annual Project Management Awards, sponsored by RPC UK.

The Awards showcase the very best individuals, projects and programmes that the profession has to offer, and recognise the incredible contribution of project, programme and portfolio professionals from around the world.

Celebrations at the prestigious ceremony will be extra special, as this year's event marks the first live APM Project Management Awards since 2019.

More than 50 finalists have been shortlisted across 14 categories, including Contribution to Project Management, PMO of the Year, Project Professional of the Year and Young Project Professional of the Year.

In acknowledgement of the significant positive impacts that projects have delivered during a period of unprecedented challenge, APM will present a new special recognition award at this year's event to an organisation that has provided invaluable support and benefits to society since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. This award will be a special addition to the usual awards categories and the winner will be revealed on the night.

Hilary Trahair, APM’s events manager, added: “Our annual awards are a highlight in the project profession’s calendar. These awards recognise the economic and social benefits of projects and the people who deliver them. This has never been more important than now, when the world faces unprecedented challenges.

“We’re delighted to celebrate the positive difference that successful project delivery is making and offer our congratulations to all the finalists. The quality and diversity of entries this year has been remarkable and is a good reflection of the growing recognition for the profession in organisations across all sectors.”

The APM Project Management Awards ceremony will take place on 15 November. Ticket holders for the black-tie event will have the opportunity to network with peers during a fabulous drinks reception, enjoy a sumptuous gala dinner and celebrate with the very best of the profession at the glittering after-party.
