A major international event in Hong Kong in November will examine how project professionals can navigate the next era of project management and accelerate their professional growth.

The Professional Project Management Association (PPMA), a non profit organisation committed to advancing project management standards across Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific region, will host the International Conference on Professional Project Management (ICPPM 2026) on 25 November 2026 at The Salisbury – YMCA of Hong Kong.

Professor Adam Boddison OBE, Chief Executive of the Association for Project Management (APM), will deliver the event’s keynote address.

Founded to advance professional development for project management in Hong Kong and across the Asia Pacific Region and to promote best practices and accountability in project management, PPMA has created ICPPM 2026 as a premier platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and recognition of excellence.

The conference will bring together global leaders, academics, regulators and industry practitioners to share best practices, explore emerging challenges and recognise outstanding achievements through the presentation of ESG Awards – Environment, Social, Governance – and Best Professional Project Manager. These awards highlight the intrinsic link between project management and sustainability, a core theme of the event.

Ping Choy ChPP, volunteer Chairlady of the Organising Committee for ICPPM 2026 and Deputy Lead for APM’s Greater Bay Regional Network, said: “ICPPM 2026 serves as a premier global platform for industry leaders and professional practitioners to exchange insights on project excellence and strategic management. This year, we are placing a significant emphasis on sustainability and innovation, reflecting the evolving priorities of our profession and the wider business community.

“We believe it is through the power of unity that professional project management can be widely promoted and meaningfully advanced together. With closer cooperation between our organisations, we can strengthen standards, foster innovation, and extend the reach of project management across industries and regions.

“As a Chartered Project Professional (ChPP), I see this designation as a symbol of the competence, ethics, and leadership required to unite practitioners across borders. It demonstrates how professional recognition can empower project managers to collaborate globally, uphold standards, and drive meaningful impact in every sector.”
