Branch and SIG Committee nomination and election process 2021/22

APM’s Branch and Specific Interest Groups are at the heart of a vibrant community of volunteers shaping the profession and raising its profile. Now is your opportunity to get involved and put yourself forward to join a committee. All members are welcome to contribute in the numerous activities that our Specific Interest Groups (SIGs) and Branches get involved in all year round.

The Association for Project Management invite you to put yourself forward for the forthcoming SIG and Branch nominations, commencing Monday 3 May 2021.

As the chartered body for the professional body, APM relies on the expertise and commitment of its volunteer community for the development and promotion of project, programme and portfolio management. This includes supporting wide-ranging activities for the benefit of individuals, organisations and society including events, publications and product development. The APM Volunteering Strategy aims to enhance participation and impact of volunteering in APM by broadening the range of activities available to an increasingly diverse range of people.

For more information about how to put yourself forward, please read instructions below.

Committee structure

  • Volunteer term: 1 September to 31 August
  • Committee size: minimum of 6, to a maximum of 12
  • In any Officer Role: Length of tenure: 9 years maximum

APM branches offer opportunities to network and learn about latest developments in project management within your region.

If you are looking for an opportunity to volunteer within your local community (APM branches across the UK and Hong Kong) and provide activities to engage and promote project management, please get involved!

These activities will offer opportunities to members to network, make connections and learn about the latest developments in project, programme and portfolio management as well as helping them with their Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Each APM branch is formed of a Committee with several roles available to suit your volunteering ambitions.

If you need more information please contact Robert Allen, Branches Manager.

Specific Interest Groups (SIG)

The APM SIGs have an important role to play within APM in creating and disseminating new knowledge. They provide a forum where members and their guests can discuss a particular aspect of project, programme and portfolio management that is of current interest.

These groups help further the understanding and practice of tools and techniques within the defined area of interest. Several voluntary roles are available periodically within the SIGs.

If you need more information please contact Sarah Slater, Volunteering Manager.
