APM is pleased to announce that the Diploma of Project Controls, offered through the Project Controls Institute (PCI) Australia, has officially been accepted as a pathway qualification for MAPM Full Membership.

PCI is the internationally recognised education and training platform specialising in project management and project controls, and having its Project Controls Diploma recognised by APM means project controls professionals across Australia and the Asia Pacific region, now have a direct route (Route 1 pathway - Experience and Qualifications) to become a Full Member of APM.  The recognition of the Diploma positions PCI at the forefront of project management and project controls education in the region.

Craig Noe, Chief Executive Officer, Project Controls Institute, Australia, says, "The recognition of the Diploma of Project Controls by APM represents a significant milestone for both PCI and the project controls profession across Australia and the Asia Pacific region. For the first time, project controls professionals have a direct pathway through their qualification and experience to Full Membership of APM, one of the world's leading professional bodies. This recognition validates the importance of project controls as a specialist discipline and provides our graduates with access to an internationally recognised professional community, supporting both career progression and professional credibility."

Jackie Martin, Director of Education and Lifelong Learning at APM, said, We are pleased to recognise PCI’s Diploma of Project Controls as an accepted pathway qualification for MAPM Full Membership. This recognition supports project controls professionals in Australia and across the Asia Pacific region to demonstrate their experience and commitment to professional standards, while helping to strengthen capability in a discipline that is vital to successful project delivery.”

PCI Australia delivers the nationally recognised 11147NAT Diploma of Project Controls to Australian and offshore learners through its flexible online delivery model. Developed in consultation with industry, the qualification provides a structured pathway into the specialist discipline of project controls, addressing growing workforce capability needs across infrastructure, defence, resources, energy and major projects. The program develops expertise in planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management, forecasting and performance reporting, equipping graduates with the skills required to support successful project delivery in complex environments. The recent recognition of the Diploma by the Association for Project Management (APM) further strengthens its international relevance and professional value.
